About The Henston Extra Light Italic
The Henston Extra Light Italic is a part of the The Henston font family. It includes OpenType features such as discretionary ligatures, ordinal numerals, and several more.
The Henston is a flared serif font family inspired in part by incised letterforms, such as Berthold Wolpe’s Albertus and Hermann Zapf’s Optima. Its subtle shaping is ideal for display, yet the open forms maintain legibility at subhead and text sizes. The companion italics take cues from calligraphy, while a well-chosen selection of ligatures, swash capitals, alternates, and stylistic sets offers ways to shift the voice beyond the standard forms. These typefaces will enhance websites, magazines, book covers, and branding. Available in seven weights — Thin to Black — The Henston adds warmth to any project.
